Wood River Police were holding 51 year old Billy Gossard of the 500 block of Prospect in Wood River on a violation of an order of protection. 28 year old Lindsay Spears of the 500 block of Tipton in Wood River, held for assault.  High Speed Rail Talks Continue WBGZ Radio | Aug 29, 2010 Construction on the first leg of a high-speed rail track is expected to begin this fall. An Illinois Department of Transportation Spokesperson has said about 90-miles of track should be completed by the end of the year.
