Former Band Teacher SentencedWBGZ Radio | Sep 1, 2010 Matthew Lang, the former Alton High School band director that pled guilty to criminal sexual assault in January, has been sentenced to less than half of the maximum by Judge Charles Romani. Lang will have to serve at least 85% of his six-year sentence, serve two years probation following his release, and will be required to register as a sex offender following his release. Guilty Plea to Child PornWBGZ Radio | Sep 1, 2010 A 41-year-old Bethalto man has pled guilty to federal charges of child pornography following an arrest in Alton in March. Blake Joseph Young, with a last known address of the 500 block of Sheridan in Bethalto, pled guilty to production and possession of child pornography. The production charge carries a possible prison term of 15-30 years, while the possession charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. [Full Story] |
