Alton Pedestrian/Bicycle Survey

Alton residents who walk the sidewalks and use the town bike routes are being asked for their opinions on the pedestrian and biking infrastructure in the city. The City of Alton has created a survey for Altonians to weigh in on how they think biking and walking in town can be improved.

The idea is to use the survey information to complete a 10-month-plan to improve routes, connections, and other improvements residents want. Alton Park & Recreation Director Mike Haynes tells The Big Z this is similar to surveys conducted recently in Godfrey and Bethalto:

An open house meeting is planned for September 19th from 5-7 pm, at the city's Public Works Building, on Emma Kaus Lane. All residents are invited to attend the meeting. The link to the survey can be found here:
