MLK Celebration Set for Sunday

The Alton Chapter of the NAACP is once again sponsoring the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Service. The service will be held this year at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Amelia Street in Alton at 3 PM.

Alton NAACP Secretary Rosetta Brown tells The Big Z recognizing the 50th anniversary of King’s death, this year’s theme will be “The Journey is Not Over After 50 Years; Let’s Do More.”
