In other board business, trustees voted 4-3 to keep residency requirements for village employees as it is right now - 25 miles from city limits. Voting against allowing employees to live outside of Godfrey were Nathan Schrumpf, Joe Springman, and Eldon Williams. Voting in favor of keeping the ordinance as-is were Karen McAtee, Mark Stewart, Jeff Weber, and Mayor McCormick, who cast the tie-breaker.
