The remnants of Hurricane Isaac hung around the Riverbend long enough to cause many of the prep football games around the area to be delayed or postponed. The second game of our double header, featuring Centrailia and Civic Memorial will air on tape delay following the conclusion of our first game.
Other matchups set for Friday night have been postponed due to the weather.
The Alton Redbirds game against Cahokia has been postponed until 1pm on Monday afternoon. Tomorrow's freshman/sophomore game has also been postponed.
Other cancellations include East Alton-Wood River's matchup with Metro East Lutheran and the contest between Granite City and Jerseyville. Those games have been rescheduled as follows:
EA/WR at Metro East Lutheran - 5 p.m. on Monday
Granite City at Jerseyville - 6 p.m. on Monday
