A 77-year-old Granite City woman is dead after she allegedly turned in front of a northbound pick-up truck on Route 3 just before noon Friday. Granite City Police say Joyce Davis died after she was struck in the driver's side door while attempting to turn on to Route 3 from Westbound St. Thomas Road. She was pronounced dead at Gateway Regional Medical Center a short time after the crash.
The driver and the passenger of the pick-up truck were also transported to Gateway Regional Medical Center and treated for minor injuries. Their names are not being released at this time.
