Man Accused of Internet Threats

Story by WBGZ Radio

A 32-year-old St. Louis man is beihind bars, charged with felony harrassment through electronic communications after threatening a "massacre" at a Godfrey home.  Investigators say Deandre Daniel Wayne Thompson made the threats via postings on Facebook.  He was taken into custody Wednesday in East St. Louis and is being held on $30,000 bond.

He was not allowed to make contact with the unidentified family, as they had obtained a restraining order against him.  He apparently had a relationship with persons living at the address.  The Sheriff's Department says the family is safe, and he never followed through on the threats.  The word massacre was reportedly used in at least one of the posts.
