It's back to the drawing board for the state's pension system. Governor Quinn shot-down a cost-shift proposal on Friday. The move indicates that a bill the Senate proposed last summer may now get approved by the House. Local State Representative Dwight Kay says pension reform must be addressed, but is not sure if it will happen in the Lame Duck Session.
The Glen Carbon Republican says it is time to stop kicking the can down the road.
He says state workers aren't the ones to blame for the pension troubles and they shouldn't have to pay the price in retirement. The House will be in session today through Tuesday.
