Marijuana legislation is again in the works in Illinois. The state’s chapter of the National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws (NORML) is working with lawmakers to legalize the use of medical marijuana. “We’re happy to see them hopefully get this legal for patients to use with their doctors recommendation,” said Dan Linn, Executive Director of Illinois NORML.
Eighteen states and the District of Columbia have some forms of legalized marijuana. Colorado and Washington allow recreational use as well. Linn hopes all fifty states drop all penalties and make pot legal.
