The Village of Bethalto has a new Chief of Police.  Lt. Greg Smock was sworn in at last night's village board meeting. He replaces Alan Winslow who is retiring after holding the position for the last seven years. Prior to his appointment, Smock spent his entire 24-year career working his way through ranks as an officer in Bethalto.

Outgoing police chief Alan Winslow says that Greg Smock is the right man for the job.
