Redbirds Beat Royals Again - Rally Cat Appears at Busch

The Cardinals beat the Royals for the third game in a row Wednesday night.  St. Louis defeated Kansas City, 8-5 at Busch Stadium.  Yadier Molina hit a grand slam home run in the 6th inning to give the Cardinals the 8-5 lead.  The blast came one pitch after a cat invaded the field at the Stadium.  The cat wandered out into the outfield and headed toward the center field wall before it was scooped up by a member of the grounds crew.

*It's the Cardinals 3rd straight win over the Royals and their 5th straight win overall.

It was Molina's 14th home run of the season and his 5th career grand slam.  Jose Martinez added his 9th homer of the year in the 4th inning.

WP - Matt Bowman (3-4)

Save - Trevor Rosenthal (Save #9)
