Principia College Finishes 2nd in Solar Car RaceWBGZ Radio | Jul 24, 2008 Principia College has a solar car that is one of the best in North America. The team from the Elsah, Illinois college has finished second in the North American Solar Challenge. The ten day race began in Plano, Texas on July 13th and ended on Tuesday at Calgary, Alberta in Canada. The course covered about 24-hundred miles.[Full Story] |
Thursday Police ReportsWBGZ Radio | Jul 24, 2008 An Alton man is facing numerous charges following his arrest Wednesday night at Alton Acres. 35 year old Derrick D. Ingram has been charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, criminal trespass to state supported property, obstruction of a peace officer and no drivers license. Ingram and a passenger in a parked car tried to run from the area. Ingram was taken into custody. The other man was able to get away.[Full Story] |
